Cambridge Summer Student Programme

 

The LCLU Cambridge Summer Student Programme is designed for specific students to complete a piece of work over the summer on one of the LCLU research themes: https://www.lclu.cam.ac.uk/research-themes-1 

 

This programme is open for members of the LCLU to submit with named students in mind and will run for up to 8 weeks over the summer break 2023.  Dates are flexible to suit the applicant and the student. Either the lead applicant or a post-doc in their group needs to be available throughout most of the summer to supervise the project. Living wages will be provided for the students, and research funds of £500.

How to Apply
 

Please complete the application form and send it to admin@lclu.cam.ac.uk by 8th May 2023.

In the application form you will be asked to provide the following:

  • Student's name that will undertake the work 
  • Length of internship - we provide funding for up to 8 weeks of work. 
  • Research proposal:  a general description of the proposed research to be carried out.  This should include context, objectives, methodology, key milestones, and expected results of the proposed work; a brief description of relevant expertise of the lead applicant or team proposing the project. 
  • Relevance to LCLU aims: a brief discussion of how the proposed project aligns with any of the Centre's research objectives
